FAQ

Do you feel like you’re not living up to your full potential? A life coach can help you become the best version of yourself and achieve your personal and professional goals. Whether it’s landing your dream job, starting or growing a business, improving relationships, achieving fitness goals, or discovering your purpose in life – a life coach can guide you through the process. Don’t worry if you’re unsure of what you want, a life coach can help you make decisions at various crossroads in life. Keep in mind that life coaching isn’t a quick fix, it’s based on the principles of positive psychology and aims to empower clients to make lasting transformations.

It is common for individuals to believe that they can handle everything on their own, but this is not always the case. A certified life coach can assist you in identifying the challenges that are impacting your personal growth and help you discover your aspirations and motivations. My coaching approach involves uncovering your passions, values, and any obstacles that may be limiting you. We will then work together to create a tailored plan of action to help you progress and stay focused. Most people fear big changes but often welcome small ones. The advantage of minor changes is that they accumulate into significant ones. I am here to support you when you feel unsupported by others.

In my opinion, coaching involves being empathetic and understanding above all else. Using the latest coaching techniques, I aim to help you increase your self-awareness and motivate you to take action, while also acknowledging the challenges that we all encounter at times.

People are afraid of big changes, but usually embrace little changes. The best thing about little changes is they add up to one big one. I will be your cheerleader when you feel no one else is supporting you.

Accountability is important here. Research shows that people are much more likely to complete a task when they are held accountable for the results. I will be there to keep you accountable to yourself.

I hold a Diploma in Positive Psychology and a Certificate IV in both Life Coaching and Career Development. Throughout my career, I have gained experience in various industries, including worker’s compensation and general insurance, personal training, and assisting the elderly in becoming more active with Active Ageing Australia. I obtained my coaching certificate in Adelaide and established my Life Coaching business in 2017. My focus is on assisting individuals in achieving self-determination and creating a fulfilling life, not just striving to prove themselves but to continually improve.

Let’s begin by evaluating your current situation and defining your goals. I will ask thought-provoking questions to challenge your assumptions, encourage self-reflection, and explore your choices. If needed, we can use different exercises and evaluation methods to determine your priorities. As the saying goes, “Know Thy Self,” which means understanding your limits, motivations, and self-awareness. With applied introspection, we can identify our strengths and weaknesses. Our motivation and our limits.

After identifying the necessary steps, you will commit to taking specific actions before our next meeting. We will review progress and make adjustments as needed until you achieve your desired results. Typically, new clients begin with a 3-month commitment, although there is also the option of a single 1 discovery session if that better suits their needs.

With applied introspection we can identify our strengths and weaknesses. Our motivation and our limits.

Coaching and therapies work with different paradigms. Coaching focuses on where they are now, where they want to be, and how to get there. It is more action-oriented with the client being a co-creator on the path towards change. If suffering from being stressed out, burnt out, exhausted, working too many hours, your relationship with family is suffering, and you are not able to get to the next level, or just don’t know what you want then coaching places you in control and not the circumstance you find yourself in.

Job crafting involves redesigning our current job by altering the tasks we perform, our relationships with others, and our perception of the job itself. By discovering our strengths, motives, and passions, we can excel in all functions of our job, effectively ‘crafting’ it to better suit our abilities and interests.

There are three types of job crafting: task crafting, relationship crafting, and cognitive crafting. Task crafting entails adding or removing responsibilities outlined in your job description. This may involve altering the amount of time dedicated to a particular task or adding a small new task that does not affect the quality or impact of your job. Crafting relationships involves varying the individuals we collaborate with on diverse projects and consistently interacting with different people. One way to foster creativity is by establishing work relationships beyond our typical workspace.

Did you know that there is a third type of crafting called cognitive crafting? It involves changing our current mindsets about the tasks we do, which can add more meaning and purpose to our busy lives. Instead of solely focusing on task functions, we can consider how they may benefit the end user. This makes the task less about the process and more about the experience of others. By using one, two, or all three job crafting techniques, we can refine our work and find more significance in what we spend much of our waking hours doing.
